KEPCO electricity rate welfare discount application
The KEPCO Electricity Rate Welfare Discount Rate System is a system that provides discounts on electricity rates for residential electricity in order to alleviate the excessive bill burden caused by the progressive rate system for housing for customers who need social protection, such as the low-income class and the disabled.

✔ Apartment customers are recommended to apply at the apartment management office if electricity is included in the apartment management fee. However, customers living in apartments whose electricity bills are included in the management fee do not have individual customer numbers.

Documents that do not need to be submitted are contents that can be verified by KEPCO, so you do not need to submit them.

– Disabled: copy of resident registration, certificate of disabled
– Recipients of basic livelihood security (recipients of housing and education benefits): National Basic Livelihood Security Recipient Certificate
– Second upper class: (Second upper class according to the Welfare of Persons with Disabilities Act, National Health Insurance Act, and Single-parent Family Support Act) Submission of confirmation of second upper class is not required. However, (the next upper class according to the National Basic Livelihood Security Act) self-sufficiency worker confirmation and the next upper class confirmation must be submitted.
– Large family households with multiple children: copy of resident registration
(3) Precautions
▶In case of moving, KEPCO cannot check the current resident registration and moving in, so you must cancel the welfare discount rate system for the existing electricity use place and reapply for the new electricity use place.
▶The next higher class confirmation is only valid for one year from the date of application, so if you want to continue to receive discount rates after one year has elapsed, you must apply for a discount by obtaining the next higher class confirmation again.
▶Discounts for the disabled, persons of merit, basic livelihood security recipients, and the next-lowest class are not overlapped with the mandatory usage amount guarantee deduction.
