– Workers who will be engaged in tasks subject to special health examinations must conduct a pre-placement health examination to assess their suitability for the task to be assigned.

2. Pre-placement health check-up (pre-placement health check-up)
◆ If an employer intends to assign a worker to a job subject to a special health checkup, he or she must conduct a pre-placement health checkup before assigning the worker to the job.
◆ In addition, workers must be notified in advance of relevant information, such as the work to be performed by the worker or harmful factors subject to special health examinations at the workplace to be assigned.
3. Pre-placement health checkup (pre-placement health checkup) test items
◆ The pre-placement health checkup can be conducted in the same way as the special health checkup for harmful factors, and is divided into the 1st and 2nd tests.
◆ Primary inspection items and secondary inspection items are set forth in Attached Table 24 of the Industrial Safety and Health Act Enforcement Regulations, and please refer to the attached file below!

4. Exemption from pre-placement health checkup (pre-placement health checkup)
◆ Workers who have received a health examination for the relevant harmful factor at another workplace and have not passed any of the following health examinations for less than 6 months, and who have submitted a document with the results of the health examination (personal health examination report) or a copy thereof, are eligible for pre-placement health checkup. Diagnosis is exempted.
– Health checkup before placement
– Special health checkup, occasional health checkup, or temporary health checkup including the 1st checkup item of the pre-placement health checkup
– Health examination including the 1st and 2nd examination items of the pre-placement health examination
◆ Workers who have received one of the following health checkups for the relevant harmful factors at the workplace and have not passed the 6-month period are also exempted from the pre-placement health checkup.
– Health checkup before placement
– Special health checkup, occasional health checkup, or temporary health checkup including the 1st checkup item of the pre-placement health checkup
– Health examination including the 1st and 2nd examination items of the pre-placement health examination
5. Fines for not conducting pre-placement health checkup (pre-placement health checkup)
◆ If the pre-placement health check-up is not conducted, a fine of 100,000 won is imposed on each worker, just like the special health check-up.

 

When assigning workers to jobs subject to special health examinations, do not forget to conduct a health checkup before deployment to avoid fines.
